So when you run out of reasonable space for more typewriters, you start to think about typewriter adjacent collectibles. Enter the typewriter ribbon tins. Small, cheap, and very cool designs. If you’re into typewriters, or vintage advertising, these are great little collectibles. Easily available on eBay. I usually buy a multi-tin lot. This means I rarely spent more than $2-4 a tin. Around my area, they can be $8-18 each at an antique store. Now I have about 75 tins. Here’s my collection, sorted by manufacturer brand (not typewriter model they’re for).
